Introduction & Profile

Blanca Padrós, Registered Spanish Lawyer at the Barcelona Bar Association since 1996, is a specialist in private international law, international judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters and private law cases with cross-border elements.

She advises both individuals and companies concerning international contracts, applicable law, courts’ jurisdiction, the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, real estate sales/purchases, inheritance matters, cross-border claims and extrajudicial and judicial issues in connection with persons, goods or rights in more than one country.

She provides her Legal Advice in Spanish, Catalan, French, English and German, and she speaks Italian and some Russian.

She is an Associate Professor of Private International Law at the Pompeu Fabra University, she speaks at conferences and she publishes books and articles on international legal issues, she participates in congresses and she leads working groups in the international legal field.

She is a Sworn Translator and Interpreter of French and Catalan designated by the Spanish Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ministry and the Catalan Regional Government, respectively.

She is currently the President of the Barcelona Bar Association’s European and International Law Section and Member of the Board of the Women Lawyers’ Commission of the same Bar Association, as well as Partner of the French and Belgian-Luxembourgian Chambers of Commerce in Barcelona, FIDEM, ADEPG-Business Women, the Association of Sworn Translators and Interpreters in Catalonia, the Spanish-German Law Practitioners’ Association and the International Legal Studies Association.
